Utica teen arrested on drug charges

UTICA, Feb 6, 2010-- A Utica teen was arrested and charged with possession of a large quantity of crack cocaine following a routine traffic stop on Thursday night, according to Utica Police.

Police say, Brandon Wynn, 17, of Utica was observed by police at about 7:45 on Thursday night making several traffic violations while operting his motor vehicle.  When the car pulled over for police, the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle exited and fled on foot, police said. 

According to police, when Wynn was apprehended, he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of crack cocaine. 

Wynn was charged with serveral traffic violations and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.

The investigation is continuing.
