Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare Stomp Out Cancer Telethon

Funds raised will benefit patients, programs, and services at The Regional Cancer Center. Last year the center cared for 1,300 inpatients and 12,000 outpatients.

The event will be hosted by Symeon of Symeon's Restaurant. For him the success of The Regional Cancer Center is personal. His family experience inspired him to support the program and services provided at the center.

This year’s telethon will focus on the support services provided to help patients and their families living with cancer. These services include the Comprehensive Breast Care Center and a range of radiation therapies including high-dose rate brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery. The center also participates in clinical trials, which provides  another level of treatment for cancer patients. The center provides screenings, cancer prevention services, The Perfect Fit post-mastectomy boutique, support groups, transportation and financial counseling.

The Stomp Out Cancer Telethon is sponsored by the Faxton St. Luke's Volunteer Association, Mohawk Hospital Equipment Inc., International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 43, National Electrical Contractors Association, and Zonta Club of Utica.

During the telethon, viewers can call (315) 624-6464 to make a pledge or donation.
