Dr. Silver joining Mohawk Valley Urology

UTICA, February 9, 2010 -- Richard I. Silver, MD, FACS, FAAP, has joined Mohawk Valley Urology, PC to practice with Dr. Jonathan Block and Dr. Ronald Kaye at 1703 Genesee Street, Utica.

Silver is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology. He received his residency training in Urology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and additional fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his medical degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from Johns Hopkins University.         

Silver is an expert in pediatric urology, and is the only pediatric urologist in central New York, but enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He has broad expertise in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology, including voiding dysfunction, incontinence, urinary tract infection, genital and urinary tract anomalies, vesicoureteral reflux, urinary tract obstruction, infertility, erectile dysfunction, urolithiasis and urologic oncology.

Silver is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Pediatric Urology and is a member of the Society for Fetal Urology and the American Urological Association. In his spare time he enjoys golf, ice hockey, bowling, and international travel with his family.
