Man out on burglary bail re-arrested for breaking into cars

UTICA, March 10, 2010 -- A man facing pending burglary charges from February now faces felony criminal mischief charges after warrants were obtained by Utica Police.

Members of the Fugitive Task Force arrested David "Chicky" Cardamone on two felony warrants after police learned he allegedly broke into two vehicles to steal their contents.

Cardamone was arrested and charged for the burglary at Camacho's Tavern on Huntington Street and was released on bail when he was connected to damaging the vehicles.

Cardamone, 36, of Spring Street, Utica, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, and third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony.

The NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force include New Hartford Police, Oneida County Probation, New York State Parole, State Troopers, oneida County Sheriff's Office and Utica Police Department.

The warrants were obtained during an investigation between UPD's Special Operations Unit, Patrol Division and Burglary Unit.
