Wheel chair basketball turns into wrestling on the hardwood
NEW HARTFORD, April 30, 2009-- The 7th Annual Sitrin Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Classic was held Thursday night at New Hartford High School and the event turned unorthodox when two of the players began wrestling at the top of the key. Jimmy Joseph, of the Sitrin Stars, and UFC fighter, Matt Hamill were playing 'head-to-head' during the half-time, when the friendly game turned into a friendly UFC event.
Hamill, during an aggressive defensive move, knocked Joseph out of his wheelchair, and the rough-housing play escalated to an all-out wrestling match.
